1) Fix Device and Peripheral Issues Support

Perform troubleshooting and issue resolution for devices and operating systems (e.g. reinstall the operating system for corrupted systems and troubleshoot and resolve the issue with network printers). Devices include office desktops, laptops, smart devices such as tablets and smartphone. Peripherals include but not limited to printers, multi-purpose copiers, hard phones, headset for Skype for Business. Supported operating systems include Windows, Mac OS, iOS and Android.

2) Fix Software Issues

Perform troubleshooting and issue resolution for standard software (e.g. MS Outlook crashes). Standard software includes MS Office, MS Outlook, and Skype for Business, inbox, internet browsers, and those available in the Software Centre.

3) Set up Devices and Peripherals

Set up devices, including network configuration, operating system, standard software (such as Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Trend OfficeScan) and faculty-specific software. Typical tasks include format and reinstall computers with standard software, and configure smart devices such as the iPhone and iPad to connect to NUS network and access to NUS emails.

4) Wipe Data for Computers and Notebooks

Perform data wiping to destroy all electronic data residing on a hard disk drive or other digital media. Typical tasks include wiping data for office desktops and laptops prepared for condemnation.

5) Update Device Security

Update computers in BTC with the latest anti-virus pattern, OS and software patches.

6) Install and Upgrade Software

Perform installation and upgrade on standard software and faculty-specific software.

7) Classroom Teaching Support Services

Support and fix Classroom Equipment Issues, provide classroom software installation and maintenance; setup AV equipment; Lecture Recording (Web Lectures) and On-campus Event Support. Training will be provided if the staff is not familiar with technology.
